Addison's First Christmas!

Can you find the best present under the tree? What a blessed little girl on this Christmas day and what a blessing she is to us. Christ is the greatest gift of all and He has blessed us with our precious Addison.

All the fun gifts from Auntie Deena- Julian the dog, Brio sorting blocks box, Catherine the caterpillar book and wood fruit and half dozen eggs for playing kitchen with Mommy.

Thanks Auntie D! (click play button)

Wow Mommy, my very own doll pram to push my dolls around with and learn to walk behind. Thank you Mi-Mi and Pee Paw!
Taking a break from all the presents and going for a ride in my doll pram.

Checking out the dragon from my castle set from Mi-Mi and Pee Paw.

Showing a little Addie-tude while opening one of many presents.

Trying out one of my toys with the little chompers to see if it passes slobber control.

My beautiful ladybug costume complete with wings, antennae and a wand from Grandma and Grandpa Steveson.

Cuddling up with Mommy on my first Christmas day!

Cuddling up with Daddy on Christmas!

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Schriks for the fun discovery table.

Yeah, I'm listening.

Okay, so how does this thing work exactly?

Daddy, what are you doing under here?

I Love Music!

Addison is now big enough to sit at the piano mostly by herself. She loves striking the keys. Even her hand position is pristine for someone so young. No, Mommy is not becoming "stage Mom", just enjoying watching her learn and explore new and wonderful things. She is a little sponge taking it all in one day at a time.

See my lovely hands at work on Mommy's piano...this by the way was shortly before she began trying to eat the piano! Also, I must mention this beautiful "recital" dress is from Grandpa Dave and Grandma Kathy Steveson! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

Fun pretty princess dress!

Sleepy princess...zzz!

32 Weeks Old!

Today I am 32 weeks old and am giggling more than ever! Mommy and Daddy try to catch me on video but they are going to have to be more sneaky about it because I stop giggling and take interest in the camera.

Mommy thinks this is her favorite purchase for me to date. Everyone has been so generous with things for me, but Mommy bought this Buggy Bagg (name of company) for me. I am so big that I can sit up in the cart and high chairs now and am too rambunctious to ride in the cart in my car seat, so this is the clean and comfy solution. It has fabric hooks for toys, compartments on the back for diapers and snacks and even a built in pillow if Mommy shops long enough for me to fall asleep :) It rolls up quickly and zips shut into a bag- kind of looks like a sleeping bag when wrapped up. I love this new outlook on shopping! Thanks Mommy!

All I Want for Christmas

My first Christmas is just a couple of weeks away so I thought I would post a quick message for Christmas. Christmas is about celebrating our Lord Jesus' birth and the joy and promise He brought to earth so many thousands of years ago that still rings true today! Let's make this year more about Him and less about the gifts, toys and things that cloud our view of what really matters and gives us all the chance to live forever with Him. We could never outgive our Father God and could never give others what He has given to us.

What life means to me right now at 7 months old is waking up in a clean, warm crib and laughing to find a few minutes later Mommy or Daddy standing watch at my door. My smile broadens and a quick laugh exudes to then be in their arms. Can life be like this forever? Mommy and Daddy say, "Yes, Addison! For when Jesus came to earth for us He promised He would never leave us or forsake us, and we could always be wrapped in His arms of love if we let Him. I love you all and wish you the merriest time of year that hopefully lasts all year long!

Many have asked what I want for my first Christmas and I have a wish list at www.moolka.com under the e-mail address: klschriks@yahoo.com and am opening a savings account for college that you could contribute to if you'd like.

Catching Up!

This post holds lots of fun pictures of the past few weeks. Mommy says she sorry for the delay, but she has been focused on transitioning from full time work at the hospital to working from home and getting me into a good routine. She has succeeded as I take naps at 10 and 2 and am in bed by 8 and wake around 6 or 7am! Have fun enjoying life in Addie's world!

31 Weeks Old!

Eating solid foods has been going well and this was my first taste of 'nanas (bananas) which I fed myself very well, thank you! I'm eating lots of interesting and yummy things like rutabagas, sweet potatoes, peas, chicken, pears, plums, yogurt and more. I'm enjoying this new world of tastes and love my highchair which the sweet Brunk family gave me.
