First Birthday Celebration with Family and Friends!

Addison received so many wonderful gifts. She is enjoying looking at one- she LOVES books- and wearing another gift.

Blogger won't allow me to move pictures around so you are seeing the birthday cake eating fun in reverse...sorry. Here you see her clearing away the devoured cake and nearly landing it in my lap!

The cake flinging has begun!

She liked the cake, but especially using the fork to destroy the cake, which I baked with love for her. I found a recipe for a baby's first cake which had carrots, raisins and applesauce. It had no sugar in it besides the little buttercream flowers on the cake. It was so fun to make her first cake.

Happy Easter!

This time last year I really thought April 12th would be our Addison's day of birth, but she wanted to be a May baby so this is our first Easter with our girl. It was very chilly, but the sun was shining and many trees are beginning to bloom.

"I could write a sonnet, of your Easter bonnet..." a little Bing Crosby for Addie. By the way she loves her bonnet and kept it on the whole time we were out today for church and lunch. Thank you Miss Nancy.

Early Springtime Fun!

Fun in the park. It was a beautiful evening and hopefully the temperatures will keep rising. We'll have sneak peeks of the warmer Spring days and then we get blasted with cold and rainy days. Addie loves the outdoors.

2009 Annual Ardmore Park Easter Egg Hunt

"See the Easter egg I found Mr. Easter Bunny?"

We were pleasantly surprised at how much she liked this larger than life size bunny.

Mr. Easter bunny captivated Addie's attention on her first Easter egg hunt at the neighborhood park. This actually was our sweet neighbor Christine posing as the friendly hare.

She kept dropping the egg in and then taking it out again. She was happy with the one egg she found.

Not ready for the fun to be over.

Yes, she looks sleepy because we woke her up early from her nap to make the annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt.

Breakfast Fun with Addie

First day eating scrambled eggs by herself. She liked them so much she rubbed some through her hair for later :) Life with Addison is so much fun- we are blessed everyday and see our Father God through her life and love. What a joy to be part of this miracle of life.
