Little Girls Nursery

Well, it has been a long time coming but we're down to two weeks till our due date and we're finally posting pictures of the nursery. We've been waiting for the ottoman slipcover, but decided we couldn't wait any longer and just pulled it out for the pictures. As for when she will arrive, really could be any day or maybe 2+ weeks from now. The midwife told us Thursday that her position was great and my frequent good contractions were great preparation and that things were progressing well. You just never know! We will post as soon as we can once she arrives and many of you are on our text message list for when we're close to delivery. Enjoy the pictures of our little girls nursery. It has been so fun fixing it up and you have all been instrumental in making it beautiful. Thank you!As you walk in the nursery you see the crib on the left, changing table on the right, radiator under the windows and sitting area in the left corner. This is the left side of the room where her canvas toy bins and wall bookshelf will give her a little area for her favorites and also Jeffrey the Giraffe stands guard. Michael looks forward to finding her sleeping on Jeffrey. You will see other touches of giraffes around the room as we both like giraffes. The rocker was a fab find at the Pottery Barn Kids outlet in Lancaster (PA Dutch Country), Pennsylvania. The ottoman is missing since it's cover has yet to arrive. Oh, and the rug was also a steal at the outlet. You have to love living so close to a PB Kids outlet. The changing table is right inside the door next to her closet-let me say it has filled up fast between Mi-Mi (Cindy-Kristin's Mom) and other friends and family who are making sure she is well dressed. We also already have a growth chart on the wall to track her growth. We are going to treasure every day as we know they grow so fast.Little Girls Bed- The crib sits across from the window inside the door so hopefully we can peek in on her and she won't see us. She will stay in a bassinet in our room for the first few weeks to a month so she is close by. The bedding is "Cherry Blossom" from Pottery Barn Kids. Our cherry tree in the front yard is about to burst with pink blossoms- just in time to welcome our little one. We will take some pictures under the 80 year old cherry tree as it is a beautiful pink veil over our heads and the tulips should also be in bloom. Spring here really is quite beautiful.

36 Weeks

Hello friends and family! I have been a bad Blogger and I will try to quickly catch you all up on what's going on in Philadelphia. Well, we made it past week 36 and are anticipating our little girls arrival sometime within the next few weeks! We can hardly wait and everything is ready. Our next blog will have pictures of the nursery as we are just waiting for the rocker slipcovers to arrive from Pottery Barn Kids. It has shipped so it should be soon! For those of you who attended either the Oklahoma or CTCA(work) showers, we can't thank you enough for showering us with great gifts and necessities for our little one. Who knew one tiny little girl could have so much...and I'm told it only increases as they grow. Thank goodness for basements with lots of storage. Below are some pictures of Michael and I and the growing belly. We also had some professional ones taken last Saturday at our home, so I will send the link after we proof them, hopefully next week as our photographer is currently on vacation. She will also come over a week after the baby arrives to take our daughters first photographs and hopefully the birth announcements will soon follow.Michael and I in our kitchen. I was 35 weeks in this picture!

Pictures from the Tulsa Shower that Katy Watts and Gwen Olin hosted for me. It was a fabulous time with so many friends and family and wonderful gifts. Miraculously they all fit in my luggage for the flight home!

Working on organizing the nursery and folding all her freshly washed clothes. This was just last Saturday-36weeks!

As Michael says, "Hot Mama"...on my way to yoga class. Truly yoga has kept me very relaxed and fit throughout the pregnancy. It has helped with back pain and prepared me for natural childbirth. Here at 36 weeks I'm at 16 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight! Little girl was weighing a little over 5 pounds according to the midwife's best estimate.

This was taken last night...nearly 37 weeks and counting! The belly button nearly flat and the baby has definitely dropped lower, my midwife and my back tells me so. I also can breathe better and feel kicks lower instead of under my ribcage. We can't wait to meet our little miracle and introduce her to you all. It will be interesting to see if anyone is even close on the name we have chosen for her. We love you all!
